Gulf Shores, AL -West Beach Framing Project (Baldwin County)

Sovine Construction successfully completed this framing project in September of 2023 in Gulf Shores, Alabama (Baldwin County), on West Beach. The project involved an addition to an existing structure, converting it into a duplex.

Key features of this build included stacked framing and a stick-framed roof, ensuring structural integrity and efficiency. Every wood connection was reinforced with metal connectors from Simpson Strong-Tie, enhancing durability and compliance with industry standards.

For sheathing, we utilized the Zip System, which streamlined the construction timeline and made the structure water-tight upon the installation of the final Zip tape. We adhered to the manufacturer’s installation standards for the Zip System and meticulously followed the engineered plans, successfully passing inspection by the Gulf Shores Building Department.
